As the title suggests, I paint wildlife and sporting subjects. I've always painted wildlife and works of a country sports theme, but horses are a relative newcomer to my portfolio. An experience on a point to pointer when I was in my early teens led me to the conclusion that the horse as a means of transport was solely for the mad or suicidal. Whilst I am still of the same opinion, I believe that the fit thoroughbred (and greyhound) is a truly awesome creature and makes a stunning subject to paint.
The wildlife I paint is primarily native to Britain & Ireland, but I don't want to restrict myself to these only. I fully intend to travel and when I do, no doubt a few "foreigners" will make their way onto the easel.
